C300 AHCI Question

Thread Starter
I have installed my new SSD yesterday, went into BIOS and changed all the ports and everything to AHCI in bios, loaded up windows etc. But for some reason I am not positive if it installed properly to AHCI? I had to changed my controller in device manager manually to AHCI.

Here is a result of my SSD AS SSD test let me know how the results are.

The only question I have is that most peoples screen says msahci and mine says sata? I am confused and thought I set it up correctly. My registry in windows is set ahci as well.

your speeds look fine. and you are using the amdsata ahci driver for some reason, but it shouldn't be a big problem.

Will that still allow me to use trim?
Download SSD Tweaker to easily see if TRIM is enabled (just hit F8 or F9, I forgot which). Otherwise you'll have to look at registry keys if you're comfortable with that.

I am fine looking at registry values as long as I know where it would be located haha

Go to the Command prompt and type > fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify

DisableDeleteNotify = 1 (Windows TRIM commands are disabled)
DisableDeleteNotify = 0 (Windows TRIM commands are enabled)

Sorry I meant command prompt.

There's nothing wrong with your SSD. It's performing beautifully. (Mine runs better on AMD SATA than the MS driver)
