It wouldn't at all, but I decided to just ignore that post in the end, I really wanted to scoff at it however.

Wait, did this count as me scoffing at it? Shoot! I tried to not do so and did so anyhow! doh.gif

Bro, I totally understand. Honestly, it's very tempting. I can honestly say that I am in that same situation. I'm constantly debating with myself if I should upgrade to SB or continue to wait.

I spend tons of money for upgrading hardware my friend & the pc is my hobby. There is nothin' wrong losing a little money to get what you want. I do that from time to time. That's life (think about it).

killeraxemannic, all I'm saying is that if you do not mind losing some money to get something that is actually better, then go for it If your decision making becomes a debate with yourself, then maybe...just maybe you probably would like to stick with what you have. Personally, if I was you, I would keep your current setup, probably invest in another gpu, and wait for Ivy Bridge

ok so the (your a follower) comment was nothing but silly childish banter

Exactly...

Everything I just bought was with the mindset that it is going to be upgraded within 12 months. I actually ordered the 4GB Ripjaws X kit to save money, but then I canceled the order and went with the 8GB kit, but only after Newegg posted the 15% off code.

I really never thought it would come to this when I bought all my origonal parts...... I worked in a PC shop and built and sold new computers every day and never did any oc'ing. I built my first personal rig a little over a year ago and I have gone nuts with it.... Look at what these forums did to me!!! First one was a

Phenom II 945
4 gb of ram
Asus m-atx mobo
9800gt
430W Thermaltake PSU
antec solo case

all gotten from the pc store. Thought I would be happy with it and use it till it was outdated and could play no mainstream games....

So wait, if you go SB now, you can upgrade to Ivy without a MB upgrade?

Being satisfied and this hobby don't really go hand in hand.

Yes, IB is supposed to be released on 1155 also. However it will not be triple channel and a couple other minor differences when compared to 2011.
