would i be better off getting another 5870 and WCing it or a 5970 and WCing it? i was thinking of course im going to get a 5970 and trifire but the more i think about it the more i have doubts, heres why

1. its highly unlikely ill be able to get a 5970 to 1000/1300 and 2 5870's shouldn't be nearly as hard (i already have 1 WCed 5870)
2. since trifire doesnt scale as well as crossfire would the extra performance i get from a better OC on a second 5870 negate the small bump in performance of trifire with a single 5970?
3. 5870's are so cheap right now and easy to find! 5970's are a little tougher and the waterblocks are very expensive (im wiling to pay it, its just one additional factor thats making me shy away)

I personally would get another 5870, that will be enough to run anything out right now at max. Also, the 5870 is a superior OC'er to its big brother. If worse comes to worse, you could get a third 5870 and it will probably be less than a single 5970 (new that is).

Another 5870. Still an awesome card, but for $200 used, it's a steal.

The prices on used 5850 and 5870 are the best performance vs. value AMD cards right now.
