Recommend budget game soundcards BESIDES Xonars

Thread Starter
Besides my Xonar DG (PCI) was working great until it started hissing loudly an hour later and made me QQ. Also when I tried to uninstall the Xonar drivers it ripped up my onboard audio as well, so I'm forced to get an alternative.

I have AD700s. I have no PCI-E slots available and I am willing to go for USB alternatives/DACs/amps/another PCI card/whatever it takes that will enhance my soundstage.

So there are no other alternatives.

I'm doomed.

There are alternatives but there's no reason to use them honestly. Xonar line is just as good if not better than anything else out there in the budget market, so RMA yours or just pick up a different Xonar..I know this sounds bad since it's exactly the opposite of what you asked for, but you can't hold a grudge against the Xonar series just because of one incident here, it's not logical

Edit to be on topic:

That is a quality DAC that should be in your general price range.
