He probably doesn't want to "waste" 100$ on something that will give him a couple or few seconds faster boot and load time. It takes me 62 seconds to boot WITH password screen without SSD. So with SSD I'll get what...40 seconds. Not worth it to me. I see its perks and if benching were involved, yea every second counts. But as far as getting something that you will obtain day to day satisfaction out of, I think the SSD wouldn't be worth it.
Now I know you guys will be like , "ohhh troll, I get day to day satisfaction out of my SSD, blah blah blah." But other than some seconds on load and boot times, what else did you REALLY get for 100+ dollars???
OP- I say if you want some new cans, buy the cans. You will probably appreciate those more than an SSD.
EDIT: for the record, not BASHING SSD's. I'd like to get one, just can't justify the price. Maybe my lack of understanding of them prohibits my unbiased opinion. So please don't take offense, just my 2 cents.
