But as far as getting something that you will obtain day to day satisfaction out of, I think the SSD wouldn't be worth it.

Now I know you guys will be like , "ohhh troll, I get day to day satisfaction out of my SSD, blah blah blah." But other than some seconds on load and boot times, what else did you REALLY get for 100+ dollars???

OP- I say if you want some new cans, buy the cans. You will probably appreciate those more than an SSD.

EDIT: for the record, not BASHING SSD's. I'd like to get one, just can't justify the price. Maybe my lack of understanding of them prohibits my unbiased opinion. So please don't take offense, just my 2 cents.

Very true, I use to feel the same way. UNTIL I came across this thread that spoke of a program were you can actually move files back and forth from a hdd to a ssd. So let's say your a gamer, now you can move your top played games to the ssd with literally one click. Then have super fast load times into game. Or let's say your ripping a DVD or Blu ray,now you can rip it to your SSD then transfer it to your hdd for storage. Let me find this thread/program I am speaking about. Give me a few hours I'm in class.

Asus Xonar DG + JVC HA-RX900's. Roughly $100 total for both, depending on retailers. Covertash has a set of these cans for $50 shipped in the Audio section actually.

Annnnnd, go... your ears will bleed with happiness!

I really don't know why you just posted that here, but I've been searching for something like that since I ran out of space on my secondary drive.

Thanks a lot.

You might as well start a new post in the audio section asking for advice on what headphones you can get for $100. Clearly your mind is already made here, and probably was before you even made this thread.

Maybe take that 100$ and sell your 4890 for another 100+ and thats the better half of a newer video card.

EDIT: Don't get me wrong though, still a beastly card the 4890. Love em.

EDIT: And like I said, an SSD has some perks, and I wouldn't mind having one. Just not for 100$. But in theory it sounds very nice.
