How is XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770 for HTPC? - Page 2

I love my 5770. In fact I have 2 and will Xfire when I upgrade my mobo. But I play SC2 and super ultra settings with no hick ups. The 5770 OC like a beat too. There is a single slot model if you want a small case. Only problem is that it exhausts heat into the case instead of outside.

I remember couple of months back people would not mind paying 180 dollars for HD 5450, it was an ideal HTPC card.. But people had sever problems when it came to 1080i streaming. Even Anand Tech did an article on that.. with issues with HD 5570 and 5450

Any card made after that was made in mind to resolve those issues. And with the Hd 5770, its a true quality experience with htpc. Did some research, and lot of people recommneded the gpu for high quality videos.
By the way thanks guys for all your comments.. your encouragement helped a lot. Waiting till the evening until i pull the trigger to buy this card... lets see if there are sincere criticisms for this card for video resolution.

overkill, try hd5670 or gt450 (these guys are already overkill too for just plain watching stuffs @ 1980p) i`m playing crysis with gt240 @ 1980x1080 lowsettings(duhh) and gets 25-40fps. so who said gt240 sucks?
