Asus Sabertooth x58 memory issue(BENT PIN)

Hey guys I have been searching around various forums and just wanted to get your input on the subject. I'm running a system with the specs listed in my sig. The problem I'm having is that Windows 7 does not display all 12 gigs in My Computer consistently. It only shows 8. I had the same problem when I only had 6 gigs. It would only show 4. On my Sabertooth mobo I have a button that says MEMOk and if I press and hold it down until the system reboots and go into the Bios and save and then then boot into Windows it shows all 12 gigs. This was also the same when I had 6 gigs only showing 4. But if I turn off the system for any amount of time it goes back to only displaying 8 of the 12 gigs. In other forums they suggested the following;

enable memory remapping in the bio
turn off your page file.
If CPU-Z detects all memory correctly for both size and slot location, this is a good sign that the motherboard and memory are not defective and your BIOS settings are probably to blame.

What do you think and any suggestions are appreciated.

My X58 Sabertooth had a bent pin in cpu socket and that was causing bios & Windows to only see 4 GB of memory while CPU-Z for example showed all 6 GB. I managed to straighten that pin and now all 6 GB is working fine.

yup, check your socket. its not uncommon for pins to be bent.

I will check my pins after this weekend. I've got a LAN party to go to. Maybe I'll show up early and check it out then. I'll let you know if I found any bent pins. That does seem to be a common issue on these boards.

OK so I finally got around to taking my CPU out and wouldn't you know I found a bent pin.

Do you think the pin is too far gone to try to bend back? Should I just leave it alone? Or do you have some recommendations on how to bend it back without snapping it in half.
