1gb 6950 with custom coolers out... - Page 2

Best bang for your bucks is a 6950 2gb version. Think about it... retail 6950 1gb go for $260-$270? add an extra $30 dollar you get 2gb and it's capable of unlocking extra shader. This put it in the same category as the high end model 6970 but you're playing a lot less.

Why do u guys keep recommending Newegg? Amazon have better price and service plus they don't charge tax! If you're a prime member, like I am, you get next day shipping for $3.99 or two day shipping for free.

Yea but that's a one time payment. Think about how many time newegg charge you for shipping... Sometime it's free but if you want next day or 2nd day shipping it cause $20 -$40+ depending on the size and weight.

I ordered two 32" LCD HDTV from amazon with next day shipping. They only charge me $3.99 per item no tax. Plus if you find a better deal at newegg or tigerdirect they'll price match it and you can take advantage of being a prime member.

Don't get me wrong I still order from newegg like once every blue moon when they actually have a good deal. Other than that I use Amazon 95% of the time. Their price and service is just unbeatable in my opinion.

$79/year is nothing.

I spend $600+ in the club on alcohol a night (I used to...)

Bottom line is if you have money to buy a $300+ graphic card or $200-$300 CPU then what's $79 to you? My mom could give me $1/day for two and a half month and I could still afford it...

afaik, they don't ship outside the US/Canada. find a friend in the US? I'm sure shipping won't be $140

because GDDR5 memory is expensive.

and 99% of people don't need that much memory.

Seems like performance is almost the same as the 2gb model, but once aa and resolution is ramped, performance falls, but thats obvious from missing an extra gb of ram.
Many of the games, the 6950 1gb definitely demolish the gtx560 ti
