Any good OCing guides for my MoBo?

Thread Starter
I would like to start getting into OC. I have been dabbling a bit with RAM timings and what not but would like to go further.

I've been reading around but some of the stuff that people talk about upping or changing I'm having a hard time finding in my BIOS.

For example upping the NB frequency. I know how to do it if I up the CPU clock but I should be able to up the NB multiplier. Which I cannot seem to find in my BIOS. I'm not sure if it's located in another section or if they just name it something else.

So I'm wondering if there is a guide somewhere that shows how to OC for my MoBo.

Thanks.

I can't find any guides with google, but I'll be glad to help you OC your CPU. Your multiplier won't be your NB multiplier, it will be a CPU multiplier, and will probably need to be unlocked before you can edit it. You'll probably find 14x somewhere in your BIOS, tell me if you find it.

I've seen the multiplier for the CPU. Currently it's on auto which is 14x. It currently only goes to 14x.

I'm not at home ATM so I can't see what they call it.

I have the same chip with a 790FX board... and a buddy has the same ship with a Gigabyte 890gx...

I was able to get both stable at 4.004 GHz with the following settings.

CPU multiplier 14x (instead of leaving it on auto... just my preference)
CPU Voltage 1.450
HT Multiplier 7x (speed will equal 2002)
NB Multiplier 9x (speed will equal 2574)
NB voltage 1.35
RAM @ 5.33x (speed will equal 1524)

Let me know if you have any questions.

I have no idea where the multiplier is. All I see is where to set the frequency and it's all preset choices with the highest where I am at now.

It is the freq you need to change,it shows as freq(eg,1600,1800,2000) not as multi.
Are you using the numeric keypad + - to make changes?

For stuff like the NB frequency it only goes up to a certain number. That number goes up if I modify like the CPU buss frequency.

I use a mix of both. +/- to see what's next and num pad if I know exactly what I want.
