Is there such thing as a sata to internal usb cable?

Hi,

I'm building a new HTPC with the ASUS p8p67 mobo. It has 6 sata controlled by an intel controller and 2 that are controlled by a marvell. The 6 on the intel i am going to be using for raid hdd data drives and the other 2 i was gonna use for my boot drive and my bluray drive, however, upon reading the specs for this mobo, i noticed (after purchasing mad.gif) that the two marvell sata inputs are for data hard drives only, and i confirmed with asus that this would exclude an optical drive. So, without going back to the drawing board on the mobo, i was wondering if there's a cable which could do the conversion for me. THe board has 3 internal USB 2.0 inputs, which the manual says are 10+1 pin (on the diagram it looks like nine though...so im confused there as well - I dont have the mobo to look at yet, still being shipped). There is also one internal USB 3.0 and a com1 port. I've looked around, but to no avail, all i seem to find are 7+15 pin adapters, and I think i would need just a 7 pin on the sata side as i still need to hook up the drive to my PSU.

Any help would be appreciated!

uh ya, i was trying to go the cheaper route, especially since my mobo already has raid on the intel controller...

Do you have an eSATA port? Probably easier to route an eSATA to SATA cable to your optical drive. That's probably the most hassle-free method as I'm pretty sure you're going to need a controller if you want to convert SATA to USB. That or buy a PCI/PCIe SATA controller. You should be able to get one for less than $20.
