|Taiwan-based motherboard brand ASRock shipped eight million branded motherboards in 2010 and became the third-largest motherboard brand, surpassing Micro-Star International (MSI) and Elitegroup Computer System (ECS) and only behind Asustek Computer and Gigabyte Technology, according to sources from motherboard players.|
While this doesn't include OEMs, I'm quite surprised at this. I thought that MSI would have 3rd spot for quite a while, but upon further thought, hasn't ASRock really stepped up their product range and quality in the last couple of years?
Well deserved imo, they not only have a huge range of motherboards specialising in the budget enthusiast area, but are also quite innovative and unafraid to have unique motherboards such as the P67 Transformer.
Good on ASRock.
