It's nice to see that their quality has gone up. My last mobo was ASRock and it barely let me OC my CPU by 4Mhz

All the top motherboard manufacturers cater to both AMD and Intel.

Asus, Gigabyte, ASRock, MSI, ECS, etc.

EVGA only caters to Intel, and only a very specific element of Intel users at that (enthusiasts), so it's not surprising they don't sell a whole lot of motherboards.

EVGA are just rebranded Foxconn's which is why EVGA had the same socket problems as Foxconn a year ago...

ASRock has come out with great products at solid price points for quite a while now, I'm glad to see that they're having success If I upgrade to SB at some point, I'll be tossing an ASRock Extreme 4/6 or Fatality board in there.

In related news, ASRock is considering getting out of the notebook biz:

Nope

ASRock is definitely not the cheapest. They make really nicely laid out boards with a lot of features for less than other brands would charge for the same features.

Not the best overclockers though, but definitely competent for the enthusiast.

"The cheapest" award can go to a lot of off brands (unless ASRock makes OEM unbranded stuff that I don't know about).

MSI has become really crappy nowadays anyway. What with their joke 4+1 phases that are pretty much on every single one of their AMD motherboards, even the highest-end ones (though that might change with 990 chipset boards)

Yes because the lotes cover is the foxconn one. Not sure where you got your info but it is off.
