The ITE sensors on my DFI board are pretty accurate...for memory and vcore. It reads way low on my 3.3, 5v, and 12v, but dead on accurate for the vcore and memory voltage.

What is so hard to understand about software voltage monitoring = useless data.

Why do people rely on this crap even after being told a bazillion times not to go by software voltage readings.

Seriously, either check it the correct way or don't freaking acknowledge it. I just read the whole thread here and I can't tell you how many times the same thing was repeated and then OP was like, "but my software still says 12. blah blah blah" .

Sorry, but it's really irritating when you ask for help/advice even though you have made your mind up and aren't going to use a dang bit of the advice given.

Software reading from a sensor is a guesstimate at best. Very few sensors are accurate enough to actually read what the rails are pushing out. There is always a margin of error due to pcb designs, sensor placement, traces in mb and yada yada yada.

Actually, the sensors CAN be accurate, but they need to be calibrated and the whole board needs to be designed around making them accurate. 90% of boards just don't bother, the cost implications are just too high.

Sorry, I'd honestly hate dealing with myself as well.
I wasn't actually depending on software readings at all though, really, nor was I insisting they were correct. I was just being stubborn about getting a DMM.

Now even with inaccurate software, the voltages are looking better, so hurray I guess.

What is the actual limit for the 12v 5v and 3.3v roughly? I remember when i tested with a multimeter b4 i plugged one of my probes into the current port on the mm and my machine just died oops luckly unplugging the PSU for a few mins and re-powering on it worked again school boy error there
