Sims 3 low fps

Thread Starter
By all means I am not that picky when it comes down to frames as long as it stays pretty smooth, but while running Sims 3 the fps i get are ranged from 40 fps when in the house i created but once i start getting out into the town or zoom out a bit my frames DROP down to 20-30 now i realize i have a dual core processor but can anyone tell me if this happens to them even on more advanced systems then mine?

Mind also i run at 1366x768 a very LOW res.
