Asus P6T fan header question.

Hey guys,

I have an Asus P6T mobo and am about to get new case fans. I never really knew much about how the fan headers work. I have a total of 2 3pin CHA_Fan connectors and I am getting a total of 3 new case fans.

So my question is:

I am going to be using 2 Enermax Magma fans on my CPU and wanted to know if I Can connect more than one fan to 1 fan header? and still be able to control them using Software?

(Ex: both Enermax fans on CHA_Fan 1)

I hope that makes sense, thank you!

Each individual fan header has a limit, and the motherboard also has a combined limit.

Look/contact Asus and ask what the wattage per header is. Then to find the fan wattage multiply the fans amps by the volts.

Okay, thanks.

It says in the manual that the fan connectors support cooling fans of 350 mA ~ 2000 mA (24 W max.) or a total of 1 A ~ 7 A (84 W max.) at +12V
