Sandy Bridge W/C For Mid-Tower

Thread Starter

Can I get any help in cooling for my case? I didn't have a choice in cases so I am wondering how to get a powerful, yet small setup.

Google Spreadsheet

I have never water cooled before and thought it best to repost this in the forum.

I am mostly just going to cool my graphics cards and processor, but I am open to suggestions.

Which exact case are you getting? Do you have any input into the case?

I had no input in the choice of case; it was a gift. It does supply two holes in the back for w/c if that is what you meant.

Budget?

But in before someone else says it, the Rasa kit is great bang for your buck. With SB's OC'ing at lower temps than 1366 you should be fine with the one 360 rad.

I would go with a better board.... I would say Asus WS revolution at the least you will have 2x PCIE 16x instead of 8x/8x

There is no noticable difference between x16 and x8, only a couple fps at most.

^This.

There is only a 5% difference when going to 4x.....

Just posted this yesterday

Check out this link here

AVP went from 148 to 147 fps
Avatar 77 to 76
BFBC2 68 to 67

TLDR - 1 fps = not at all a big deal

Okay, with that case you can fit a slim 240 radiator internally. Unfortunately that won't be enough for a CPU and two 580s.

Unless you want to hang a radiator off the back of your case or mod the bottom for a second 240 radiator you're going to have to stick with CPU only cooling.

Awesome mid-tower case for w/cing is the Cooler Master CM690 II Advanced.

They also sell windowed side-panels for it.
