Those arent normal temps
I have the sam cpu as you (high five )

I have a el cheapo Hyper 212 + and mine tops out at 54C with the stock fan

I think a problem is that you didn;t apply the thermal compound properly. Don't use the one that comes with it. Buy some Artic Mx-4. Great stuff that is

also, instead of a noiseblocker on the xpy get a scythe Gentle typoon 1850rpm AP-15

Those push air and are very quiet.


Are your temperatures in the BIOS on auto?

Paste I used is IC 7 carat diamond or whatever the exact name is, even if I botched the application somewhat I'm doing ~55C right now with the changes I posted about so I'll keep that as it is.

About the fan yeah I am considering one of the GT models, or a 4pin PWM type like AliceInChains mentions.. I don't know yet, I'm doing ok with very low power fans right now and I've a few things left to tinker with and then I'll decide.
