will this ram be good for the asus p67 deluxe
Corsair Vengeance
and do you think 16g is over kill
and is 8 8 8 24 better then 9 9 9 24 atency
and what better for overclock the 8g or 16 g of ram

from my experiences, i do intense gaming and editing 16 is way overkill go with about 8 should be more than enough, i am pretty sure 88824 is better but you can always change timing when ocing

This, pretty much.

16 gb may or may not be overkill dependent on what you do.
For gaming, 8 is plently.
For video editing, 16 comes in handy and is quite advantageous over 8.
For better results in overclocking, 8 is advantageous over 16.

8-8-8-24 timings look fine. I have my 12 gb at 8-8-8-24 at 191x21 and it's stable.
