[UberGizmo] Razer introduces the DeathAdder Black Edition - Page 2

Sounds like a worthy purchase if my original Deathadder ever fails. It's got it's downfalls (like the aforementioned warped bottom) but one custom set of feet later and it's gotten me through 1700+ hours of competitive UT... I'd be happy if it was the last mouse I ever used.

May I ask where you got the custom feet?

You can purchase new pads for your mouse on Razer's site. They are black instead of the stock white if that matters.

1) Buy random feet meant for some other mouse
2) Cut feet to desired shape
3) Apply

I honestly have no idea what they are anymore, or which company made them. Sorry.

They were for some Logitech model and I just bought them for the hell of it - cut them to whatever shape I wanted, each one is about 3 times the size of the standard Deathadder foot.

It's lasted over 3 years. Unfortunately that's not saying much, I started using cloth pads around the same time. Extremely low sensitivity (18+ inches/360deg ingame rotation) and plasticy mousepads were causing me to go through a set of feet every 2-3 weeks.

I just bought a set of deathadder feet from puretrak and stuck them on top of the original set and this eliminated the dragging problem.

The thing is, NOBODY should EVER have to purchase an extra set of feet and modify an effing brand new mouse right out of the box. No other company will sell you a brand new mouse for $50 that has the plastic bottom of the mouse dragging on the surface.

People keep buying razer products so they have no real reason to improve their defective crap.
