How do I add the audio without rendering

Thread Starter
So I've got some HD captured footage from my console that I want to commentate over. The problem is all the rendering settings using Sony Vegas 9 make the video smaller but the quality suffers too much or much bigger file size and no quality increase. I want to commentate over the video and not render it. Is this possible or is there a rendering setting that will keep the video quality exactly the same.

You want to mux the video with new audio. Export only the audio then mux it together with the video into a container. Now that you know it's called mux, you should be able to find more information. If you can't, try doom10.org or forum.doom9.org.
