2 Gigabyte 6850oc Overclock different!!

Thread Starter
hi guys i think its about luck either you get a card that can overclock very high or not. i build 2 computer with the same spec and a gigabyte 6850oc card each.

PC1 can overclock from stock clock 820/1050 to 924/1237 Max no artifact
PC2 can overclock from stock clock 820/1050 to 865/1100 Max no artifact

look at the different between these 2 exact same spec PC but with different overclocking speed. i wonder why is the huge different.
maybe the 2nd one is used and is faulty since the previous owner killed it is probably the only reason .

Not every card is going to clock the same as another, just as no CPU is going to clock the same. It is in the luck of the draw

Funny how it works like that , they are all designed and manufactured exactly the same .. In most cases , most identical hardware have the same limits .. Obviously the 2gb version clocks higher , theres no luck of the draw ..

there defintaly wont be 100+mhz overclockability on one card and not the other , unless its watercooled .. im talking stock .
