That is awesome, in 20 years when games use 12 threads you'll be golden bro!

Since you can't afford a 980x, there is no need to crap on the people that can.

Ahh! Epic! Nice to see some nice marks from the real top of the class CPU's. Seems since Sandy Bridge, (aka, Intel's version of the Phenom II), was released, people have forgotten about the real high end cpu's.

Not crapping, by the time games that support 12 threads come out it will be able to keep up with newer chips with less cores/threads.

I like how you assume people who don't spend $1000 on a cpu that lasted less than a year on top to be poor. I hear either filthy rich or poor people waste money in such a way. Most people that are middle class invest in their future and retirement.

Either way the point still stands, Vantage cpu scores mean about as much to gaming as SSD benchmarks.

But this is an overclocking site, not a gaming site.

But the OP was showing vantage, nothing else.

Why is saying when 12 threads (which is what vantage used to base the score off of) become utilized he'll have a be beast even then trolling?

Why not get an x16 chip to bench superpi, the results mean about the same when it comes to the true performance of the chip.

When did gaming come into this?
Never did, OP was showing the rendering performance of his 980x and I must say it is outstanding.

Edit: There seems to be confusion as to what I was saying.

The 980x is a great chip and when games start to use more threads it's going to be 35% faster than my i5-2500k in gaming, which is pretty outstanding.
