Golden overclock 1055T! (I hope)

Thread Starter
Hey guys,

So it took me a couple of weeks of hard messing around every night to get my 1055T to 4 ghz, and tonight I was bored, so I figured I would see if I can get my chip any higher, even if only by a few mhz

So an hour later, I am running the MAXIMUM FSB supported by my mobo! 300FSB!

That's 4.2 ghz! I tested it stable in prime 95 for an hour, and my max temp was 50 celcius on the cores. (Remember, i'm running two 150CFM fans on my V6)

Right now, I am running 30 Intel burn test runs at Very High stress, and it's been running strong for a while.

Here's a rundown of some of the settings I used.
300FSB
1.4875 vCore
16.5% Load Line Calibration
3000Mhz NB
1.275 v NB
1.80V On the ram
1200Mhz
6-6-6-18-21
HT Link 1.25v

Here's a screenshot I took just after an hour of Prime on blend, I forgot to take a pic with it open though!

I'l leave Intel Burn test running all night long, and take a picture tomorrow morning if everything is all stable!

I want to see,
You have same cooler as me and was thinking about going back to AMD so Im interested in what you can do

Sorry I am new but that isn't classed as a golden chip is it?

Golden chip just means that it can run at higher speeds with lower volts hence lower temps. I don't know that I would call it golden or not, good, yes.

I was running at 286 @ 1.475v just to get to 4.0, but I'm pretty sure my board can do well over 300fsb, so maybe I'll give it a run some day and see how high my chip can really go.

You can't rely on the core temps for an accurate temperature measurement, unfortunately. It's a known issue with X6s. The most accurate measurement is the CPU socket temp, which programs like HWMonitor and Coretemp can display. Realistically, your temps are probably much closer to the 62 degree limit.

I will vouch for this aswell.
It is generally accepted that the thuban core temp is 10c below the actual temperature.
You're pretty much hovering at the thermal threshold

By no means a golden chip, not even close, but still a very good chip!
that's not a golden chip.

if you want I can trade it for my 1090T )

great OC!
Admirable OC............. can you post how much memory bandwidth and latency you are getting, use maxxmem to determine. Since you also have a 5770, i am very interested in the 3dmark 11 score too. If possible, please post those values.

Okay, got some news. At some point over night, my syatem shut off and erased the cmos settings

Im gunna try again with lower voltage on the chip, higher voltage on the NB and tighter ram timings.

What's you stepping number? If it's a 1015DPMW like mine, I'm excited! I'm hoping a new NH-D14 and Delta fans'll take me further
