Is this sandy behaving?

Hello,
I just set up my new build. Its working nice but heres my gripe.
first heres my system
Biostar TP67XE
i5 2500K
GTX 570
8GB G Skill Sniper @ 1600
Thermal Take FRIO push/pull max speed

ok i tried to get 5gz and had no isseus. I had 1.42 vcore on load i tested for 40 minutes blend test. But temps were at 72c-75c... Unacceptable
so now i have decided to see how much i can push this cpu at 1.116vcore on load. I have been doing a blend test for 10 minutes and temps are 42-48c. Core 3 always seems like 5c lower than the rest.
Is this tipical or did i get a stubborn chip? if my cpu can hang tough at this vcore im going to lower it a little more. right now im at 4ghz and chugging along. i think i will stick with 4ghz for now and try to lower my volts. what is the standard vcore on these? is it 1.18? Thanks
Valery

Those temps are not unacceptable, but you can clock it at 4.5ghz-4.7ghz with less vcore and lower temps. I shouldn't take more than 1.33v or so for 4.5ghz (unless you have the ud3, which I have, in which it takes an extra 0.7v to account for vdroop, unless there's a fix). I get temps under 65c with prime95 with a 212+ and only one fan.
