EVGA GTX580 questions

Thread Starter
Hey all,

I've found a pretty sweet deal on a GTX580 from EVGA which bags me 10% off, AND free shipping, however I have a few questions:

is this card a reference model, or at least at have voltage control?
Its the same card i've seen pretty much since release, and it usually take a while for them to make non-ref cards, but this has the EVGA logo on the PCB whioch doesnt really inspire confidence.

How is EVGA's customer service in the UK?
i intend to water cool it after a couple of weeks with the stock cooler, and it would be VERY helpful if i could just slap the old cooler on and send it back for RMA if needs be, i know some company are better than others in that respect.

Thanks!
Karen

I'm pretty sure you can slap on the stock cooler and send it back no problem. EVGA is good like that.

It is reference. Same as the card from Day 1.. Don't worry about the EVGA logo on the PCB. It does have voltage control.
EVGA offers lifetime warranty in Europe now I do believe , Customer service is awesome. And they support aftermarket cooling ( i.e. Water )
Will not void your warranty, just slap on the stock before you RMA like you said

Evga offers 10 year warranty in Europe. Or atleast I bought it from Finland, registered my GTX 580 Black Ops, and it is 10 years.

Well, 10 years is already a pretty much lifetime for any computer part.

And YES. Customer service is absolutely amazing.

And for Piranha Joe, watercooling doesnt avoid warranty. But make sure that every part and screws are somewhere safe if you need to RMA.
Ofcourse if you mess with waterblock, then you should ask more about it at evga.com
