duplicate SLI OS instances

Hi. I have a rather technical question, but it's been bugging me.

I recently reformatted my hard drive after constant run-ins with BSODs. This is now no longer an issue.

I have the SLI patch installed on my system because I have an AMD chipset with 2 nvidia gtx 460s in SLI. After the system posts, the part where I choose which OS I want to run pops up. I can choose Windows 7, or the SLI patch version of Windows 7, but there are two instances of the SLI patch version. One is the old one before the reformatting (I assume) that doesn't work, and the other is the new one that works perfectly.

How do I get rid of this non-working SLI patch OS? Is it in the registry? Any hints, walk-throughs, step-by-steps would be greatly appreciated. I'm fine with hardware, but messing with the registry scares me. As much detail as possible would be greatly appreciated!

Go to start and in the search box type system configuration

Open it

On the tabs at the top click boot

Click on the listing for the old OS and click delete

Click Apply or OK

That should do it
