What I did when I first started OCing. I used TurboV's Easy Mode. Only adjustment is the base clock on it, it sets the rest for you. Then from there I would use Manual Mode to lower my voltages/raise my base clock until I found my "final" OC.

Bios does have more options, the main one lacking from TurboV is the Multi. Thats why I fine tune my OC in Bios, but you need to know about the settings before changing them.

So is the base the frequency?

I am not sure about AMD, but my I7 has a base clock of 191mhz. And I have a multi of 21. So 191x21 gives me 4000mhz, or 4ghz.

From what I understand, both could be called frequency. But the "final" is more important, is what most talk about. Does that help??

Yeah so it is. My base clock is what I can frequency. Okay I know how to do that. I will want to up my frequency a little bit and then bump the multiplier as well.

You would have to set the multi you want to use in Bios, then the rest can be done with TurboV. I know I7s like to have an odd number for the multi, I am not sure with AMD.

Another ASUS feature I really like is the EPU-6 engine. One click and it downclocks your rig, and can turn off my chassis fans if I want it too. Sounds like a useless feature, but I like to use it when I am really not using my computer, like scanning OCN. Makes my system almost completely silent.
