If those headphones hiss on all of these inputs, especially an ipod (thats what beats is designed for). I highly doubt a soundcard will take away a hissing sound clearly caused by the headphones. You may want to try even exchanging them for another pair and see if the new ones still hiss. And also only the 32ohm version of the DT880's are meant to be used on ipod's, onboard, ect... any of the other versions (250ohm and 600ohm) will sound weak and dull on an ipod or the likes. The higher ohm versions are going to need an amp to sound full and correct. Just in case you were testing the higher ohm rated version's on your ipod at guitar center, you would for sure be disappointed in them.
