External reservoir mount

Here's one for the guru's out there:

Real estate in my 800D has become...shall we say...'very high priced'

My overzealous water cooling build has pretty much tapped out every bit of room inside my case, and I'm really only left with 2 options:

1) A Swiftech Micro Res V2 mounted inside...lol...talk about a dwarf amongst midgets. Small, but it'll get the job done...can grab it for $10 off a buddy.

2) Mount my Alphacool 250mm res. horizontally on top of my case...it doesn't fit inside the case (too tall) vertically or horizontally (EK 580 bridge) (can't place pump next to PSU due to 240 radiator taking up that spot.)

Would that be feasible? It might look different, that's for sure, but I have no choice (was going to buy a 160mm FrozenQ or a 150mm EK multi, but my money tree withered and died due to a new personal problem) Bay reservoirs are out of the question as an HDD is currently residing there.

Thoughts?

get one of the dangerden rad-res's its ment to be mounted on a 120mm fan, which you could mount it on the back 120mm outside, and it looks pretty sweet too.. was the first res i owned when i got my watercooling loop.

The money tree died. Won't be able to buy any non-necessity for the next couple weeks. (yes, even a $40 res) I was trying to make do with what I have, and if worse came to worse, my buddy said he'd just give me the micro.

The Scout is in need of repair as well, so I'm rig-less...couldn't handle it for 3 weeks or so...lol.

Guess I'll just have to experiment...and if it fails, I'll shed a tear.
