This game was as long as the 1rst one, its about 10 hour gameplay just like the first game.
Longer than the first actually. 15 chapters in the second. 12 in the first and some of the chapters at the end of the second game can be arguably longer too.
10-12 hours for one playthrough is my rough estimate unless you FLY through it like an idiot.
And there is much room for replayability. Hard core mode is a must for anyone who wants a challenge ala Resident Evil. And even after that you get more reasons to play through again, especially if you're interested in the story.

What the hell are you on about? The AI in DS2 is probably 10x better than any Call of Duty game out there.
Call of Duty: every enemy entity follows the following programming...
if see player - shoot. if game mode hard = true - throw grenades. if player proximity is close = melee
Dead Space 2: multiple different AI programming with tons of different variables in play including with and without limbs.
Slicer, puker, leaper, crawler, tripods, brutes, creepers, cypts, and about 4 other enemies all have at least 3 or 4 different ways of attacking as well as about 4 or 5 different ways of moving in on the player including team based combat to work together.
Resident Evil 4 and 5 have about the same amount of different AI types as well, possibly more if you include the varied bosses and their multiple forms. Albeit simple though.
You were saying?
I like how your argument is based on lack of effort, and then you note Call of Duty. What're you expecting? An arcade-y hold-down-fire-button military shooter in a sandbox environment?
lolol even less then that. Just mentioning Call of Duty in the same sentence as AI is a death sentence. It's like insulting yourself.Edited by OmegaNemesis28 - 1/30/11 at 5:49pm
