You'd have to be lucky. 4.0Ghz is for P45 boards.
Ya sometime in the future I am going to build me a beast of a computer and overclock the crap out of it.

q9550 is 45nm not 65nm like the q6600 is. You can throw more volts at the q6600 then the q9550.

I've put 1.8v on my q6600 on air, definitely not the smartest thing to do but I didn't hurt anything either.

I've ran my q6600 @ 1.65v @ 3.9ghz for the past 2.5 years. I haven't noticed any depreciation as of yet, but remember every chip is different.

I've never been able to get my Q6600 above 3.6Ghz, even @ 1.9v. It doesn't even get to Windows.

But I do have my E7300, a 45nm chip, @ 1.6v 24/7. For some reason, even on 1.6v it's still not fully stable @ 3.75Ghz on my G45 board.

ok so here is what I did

cpu core from 1.25 to 1.35

cpu fsb 1.1v

nforce spp 1.3 - 1.35

nforce mcp 1.5v

fsb memory clock mode - linked

fsb - memory ratio - sync mode

fsb (QDR), MHZ from 1333.3 to 1700MHZ

cpu Freq, MHZ 2833.3 to 3612.5

This is with 100% load on.

This is my first OC yes. Also a question it says that im using 1.288v on the cpuz scan. In the bios i put it up too 1.35 is my computer only using 1.288v

So I am happy at 3.61 GHZ yes

That vFSB is too low..

Set vFSB= 1.36V for that 425MHz FSB..

And yes your CPU is only getting 1.28V Vcore as your motherboard has a quite Vdrop (drop in Vcore when boot to OS)

CHEERS..

I made mistake as I ment you to use 1.26V FSB for 425MHz FSB..

I dont look at the coloring of the BIOS voltage settings and I go by this:

For 45nm C2 CPU for 24/7 OC don't go over:

Vcore= 1.40V (actual Vcore shown in CPU-Z while running stability test like Prime95 or Intel Burn Test)..

vFSB=1.40V

vPLL=1.58V

CHEERS..
