Window 7 explorer failing, restarting, then failing, over and over

Thread Starter
Hey,

I turned on my PC today without doing anything out of the ordinary yesterday and it was going very slow, it wouldn't let me open internet explorer then it frooze completley, it also said that my Kaspersky anti-virus files were corrupted.

So, i restart the computer and now when its trying to load windows, it keeps saying "windows explorer has encountered a problem" then attempts to restart again over and over in a loop of fail until i got annoyed and switched it off.

I tried to reinstall windows but my windows 7 disc needs to be ran from desktop so it's not letting me boot from disc to reinstall it

Anyone have a clue whats going on and how i can fix it?

Thanks.

open an elevated command prompt and type sfc /scannow
When it's finished re-boot
If that doesn't fix it, try a repair install

When you get windows working again, don't use Explorer and use Firefox.
