Perhaps not as much as a true EE card with a shroud, but they absolutely exhaust air out the back of the case.

Theoretically, yes, they do. But not much.

I guess the more positive airflow coming into your case, the better they would exhaust the warmer air through the back of the card slot.

Running OC Scanner w/ 100% fan blows a LOT of air outside of the case.
