what the @%$& is wrong with my new pc!?!

Thread Starter
had my new pc for a week now, refer to my sig for the specs. here is my long list of problems:
1. the 2600k is set to 4.6ghz 1.325 on vccore, yet my voltage goes up to 1.376 under load. i tweaked some settings in bios, could any settings cause my vccore to go this high? (vdrop set to low, max power 200w, power saving features disabled)
2. my bclk is set to stock 100mhz, but cpu-z and other programs always read it at 99.8 ALWAYS. should my bclk be low all the time?
3. every few minutes, my computer gets blue screen of death. error code 0x00000124 (i think. i know it ends in 124). could this be caused by any of the other problems?

please help, my new pc is currently a giant paperweight!

Go back to stock settings and don't mess with the BCLK. The voltage raise is part of LCC, you can disable it I think.

Add voltage/take your OC down a little. Not all 2600Ks can do 4.6 GHZ stable.

Pretty sure MSI boards title LLC (load line correction) as vdroop. As LLC is designed to address/prevent vdroop. I suspect having it set to low, means it trys to lower or limit the amount of vdroop, which is probably why your vcore goes up with load. Try setting it to off or disabled to help maintain a steady voltage, conversly set to max and see what it does. No experience with MSI boards but I would think that's the cause.

typically 00124 error is just unstable overclock as has been suggested. lower speed or add vcore, try again.

llc is load line calibration. look for something along the lines of that and adjust it to get rid of the voltage load increase.

try bumping qpi to 1.1 and make sure not to use xmp profiles..

...the 99.8 clock, is 0.2% less than 100, are your really making this a big deal? Blue screens usually means unstable OCs, read around and try again
