what is the maximum operating temperature on an 8800GT?

title says it all i got my BFG 8800GT overclocked heavily 725/1800/1100 and temps hit 77C in left 4 dead 2. i want to know the maximum temperature safe to run at.

They're specced to operate at up to around 105-110C, but you'd be silly to run them that hot all the time. Mine used to load at around 93C (100% fan speed), and I would say anything under 95C is fine, to be honest.

Yeah, they're hot running cards.

Mine with a single slot cooler would hit 90c often and it would sometimes hit 96c which is a bit hot but the card is still ticking after 2 years of that.
You're way away from the thermal max so I wouldn't worry.

I had a 8800GT that would game at 88c. I did drop the temps by replacing the TIM. After that it ran at 82c. Your temps look average.

Actually, especially for an overclocked card, I'd say they're a fair bit below average.

My overclocked card on intense games hits 108 C after long usage. That's when I give it a break and let it cool down. Running for 3.5 years without much issues
