Crytek has told us it's exploring the possibility of making a new Timesplitters game.

"Yeah, we have been discussing it, but nothing has been confirmed yet, so let's see after Crysis 2," CEO Cevat Yerli told us.

The last released title in the Free Radical developed FPS series was 2005's TimeSplitters: Future Perfect, but a fourth game was in development before the UK studio went into administration in late 2008.

Crytek is loving all this publicity it's been getting lately.

I still haven't played TS3. TS2 was awesome. Tactical 12-gauge shotgun ftw.

There was a TS3? WT... I didn't know this. TS2 on the GC was one of my all time fav's. Only beef I had was the FOV. Other than that though, it just felt like a natural 007/Perfect Dark replacement for the GC

Timesplitters 2 is one of the most played games for me of all time. My buddies used to come over and we splitscreened away days on it. The rest of the series was great too, i'd love to see it make a comeback.

I feel so nostalgic it hurts...customizing the map weapons and playing around with random stuff was so fun. Split screening it on the Ps2 with my brother and friends. I want that feeling again.

I hear you there, we used to have so much fun. Remember how good the AI was too if you wanted to play offline multiplayer alone? That to me was awesome too, I'm about to go dig out my ps2 and try and find TS2 now lol.
