Please help with overclocking q9450 on an Asus P5N-D - Page 2

Just put it the 2nd matching stick of RAM. Everything is much smoother now. 2gb was to little. So far everything is stable. I will run prime95 over night see what happens.

I woke to see the memomry dump screen. I changed everything back to stock value with 4gb of ram.

russianbear22 when I first got my P5N-D, I was told by Asus support not to fill all four dimms if I intended to OC my CPU
Apparently this board lacks the needed power circuits to feed adequate voltage to that much ram, also have you performed the pencil mod to the board yet?

No I have not, but I read about it. My cpu cooler is already mounted so I am not sure I can get to the needed transistors
