are these headphones any good? - Page 2

Decent headphones and Zalman clip on mic will blow any "gaming" audio headphones for the price out of the water. HD202's are very nice. or those JVCs linked above!

For quick sessions, I suggest you the Plantronics GameCom Pro 1's (a remake of their original DSP-500's).

They're:

*Sturdy
*Loud
*Have excellent bass and control
*Provide DSP 5.1 Virtual Surround
*Clean microphone
*Lightweight

They can be had for 45$ or less or up to about 60$~. Even the original DSP-500's (exactly the same) are good with the exception being they are more prone to damage (wiring and even small/medium drops).

They are excellent for LAN parties and the mic in them is fantastic for VOIP, Ventrilo, Skype, etc. You friends will have no problems hearing you or understanding what you're saying. They work seamlessly with Windows 7, including built-in drivers that do what the included software did with Windows XP. Give them a little bass boost and a bit of treble boost and you'll be enjoying them for sure!
