What do you think of the Sansa Fuze?

Is it any good? I was thinking of buying one and a LOD cable for it so I could run rockbox and listen to my FLAC music through my e7.

The original Fuze and Clip+ are both great players. I haven't heard much about the Fuze+

The original Fuze is better.

EDIT: If you are just going to LOD, just buy the bigger capacity player you can.

best mp3 player for the money imo. Had mine for 2 yrs (clip), use it for working out without any issues.

Clip+ sounds very nice with a good pair of headphones. Sounds way better than the 80GB Zune I had. I got rid of my Zune and got a Clip+ and never regret it.

The only problem I've had with the Fuze is that the screen got scratched against my cell phone somehow in my pocket. Doesn't bother in the dark though.

As for the interface it's kinda lacking in some aspects but I haven't tried Rockbox yet.

I've heard bad things about the fuze+ but the original fuze and all the clip variants are amazing

Don't get the Fuze+, they really effed it over.

I have been using my original 8gb fuze and I can't imagine upgrading until it goes kaput completely.

Portable sound is not worthing pouring money into, at all. That philosophy is what led me to the Fuze and it worked out well. Mine has served me through 4 major changes of headphones and all have sounded excellent.

As an aside, it also mates extremely well will the iBasso D2+. If someone was pressed to spend $300 on a portable rig, I'd recommend Fuze + D2+ + HiFiMan RE0. This combination seriously rivals my $1200 2.1 setup.
