Wireless Not Working

Thread Starter
Hey guys, my cousin had sent me his laptop to upgrade his HDD and re-install Windows 7.

I've done all of that without any problem. However, while making sure that his laptop is 100% working, I couldn't seem to connect his laptop with my router via Wireless. There's no wireless thing inside the W7. The Internet works if I connect via a cable, but not wireless.

I tried to find the name of the Wireless card inside the laptop so that I can install specific drivers. But I have no luck with finding the wireless card name...

Please help, and thanks alot!

Did you try going into device manger, going into Network Adapters to see if there is a wireless controller that isn't working properly?

Or giving it time while connected with a lan cable to see if windows 7 tries to download any device drivers for something?

Yeah, I did look at the device manager and one of the adapters isn't working. It says that there are no drivers for this adapter or something.

When I connected my router via a cable, I updated Windows 7 to latest version. This update didn't do anything to the wireless stuff. Or was I supposed to install a certain optional install?
