It is coming out sometime this year.

It will be AM3+.
AM3+ motherboards can use AM3 processors but AM3+ processors cannot be used in AM3 boards.

Bulldozer will support higher memory speeds than K10.5. It will be dual-channel.

Bulldozer is a new architecture.

...yeah that's all I can remember off the top of my head.

Being one to root for the underdog in this situation...wouldn't it be cool if all the speculation was wrong, or underrated..and AMD releases some crazy, super futuristic monster of a processor that blows everything Intel had back to the stone age?? Ha. "sigh" Of course that probably won't happen, but am looking forward to seeing how it really pans out.

Take it for what you will?
Read the first comment on the article you've linked, it's by JF-AMD. I'll take his word over xbits, because if he's wrong his no one will ever listen to him again! LOL

what's the rush? if you need power sooner rather than later go intel for the time being i'd prefer amd take there time and release an astounding product line at an affordable price.

Not "delayed" as such...but folks on this board were advising folks contemplating upgrades to wait for BD as it was "just around the corner" back in August. Since then I've changed platforms twice and BD CPUs are still another quarter away, presuming no official delays.

So what your saying is you made well informed condidered choices about your previous platforms?

BD's been on the cards a lot longer than last August. I'm waiting to see what BD mark II brings, i've no need to change until at least then and in all honesty probably will never "need" to change, but I maybe will just for the hell of it in 2012-2013.

You can run SLI on AMD boards even if they have an AMD chipset.

it isn't real. the concept was started by forum moderators to keep the forums yapping. bulldozer is kind of like inception.. is this real? you need your totem for this, do you have it?
yes it will work on an AM3 board because AMD is not going to release a cpu that everyone has to buy a completely new motherboard to use.
