I currently have HT on, 4C/8T @ 4.8Ghz, 200Mhz more barely gives me any gains and pushes more heat and voltage in my system which is not really worth it. But yeah, kind of moronic to buy an i7 2600K and push it 5Ghz with HT off and then call it a golden cpu. Too true, 2600K's selling point is HT. But if you're going to keep the CPU for a while then you might as well get a 2600K, it's a better investment for the long run.
Remember all those people who said "OMG you don't need 4 cores, dual core is ENOUGH for gaming!"
yeah the QuadCore was a bad investment right? Then you hear, "OMG this is BS! I need a QuadCore to play this game!" Bwhahahahaha!
