Yeah, some restaurants seem to have specific restrictions/times before they'l let you use these (i.e. must order two drinks + two entrees, only works during lunch hours, etc.). Also, the sneaky thing a few places do is adding a hefty gratuity charge if you try to use one of these coupons. Check and see if the restaurants you plan on using these at have any of those restrictions would be my recommendation.
