GTA4 breaks

Thread Starter
I got into a post yesterday but probably nobody should read it so I decided to create a new one.

Initially, when I enter the game have a lot of breaks but then after 1 minute of the game goes on.
When I go to another part of the map have breaks again but after 1 minute passes again.
I wonder why so many breaks
Is my processor, motherboard, ram, hard drive or graphics?

Asus P5P43TD
Intel q8300@3.22ghz
Asus EAH5770 cuCore
Western Digital caviar green 1tb 64mb
Corsair Vengeance 8gb (9-9-9-24)

Texture Quality: High
Reflection Resolution: High
Water Quality: Very High
Shadow Quality: Medium
Render Quality: Low
View Distance: 5
Detail Distance: 10
Vehicle Density: 5

Most likely its your hard drive, you do know green drives should NOT be used for an OS/gaming drive right?

I bought the green because the store was not black, I really must buy a new one?

no need , gta 4 is a bad port even my rig is not able give me smooth gameplay....
and for those jerks , whenever the game loads or a new area is closed in more detailed textures are needed to be loaded into vram hence the stutter u feel......its actually present in many open world games , a gud example would be fallout new vegas......and ya as said above hdd is also an issue.....but it is not necessarily the only issue , u gotta have a ultra fast proccy to make the game smooth.....so bear with the world(bad port)......

Nah, I used a 1TB WD Green as my main drive playing games such as GTA IV. I haven't noticed much of a difference since upgrading to my F3

SSDs. You're doing it wrong.

Use the SSD for OS and all other programs, while using the HDD for games and media. SSD will make zero noticeable difference but load times, and will most likely fill up with 4 games.

And OP, wth is a break?
