New build done!!!

Thread Starter
Hey everyone. I got my new build done. Everything went smoothly. My Windows experience index is as follows:

CPU- 7.2
RAM-7.3
GPU both, 7.9
and the HDD 5.9

Goes to show that Microsoft must be trying to help sell people over to solid state drives. I have a 10,000RPM VelociRaptor in this thing. Performance test 7 showed a crazy increase from the standard 7200RPM SATA to the VelociRaptor. I am rather confused about the ram rating. I installed 8GB dual channel RipJaws. Anyone have any idea? something in the Bios??

WEI is crap. Shouldn't be used as a performance benchmark.

Use it as a quick benchmark for comparisons, but never take WEI seriously.

I knew that, but i did expect more from the RAM in the WEI.
The jacked up thing is, Microsoft could easily get a little cash under the table from any manufacturer for simply lowering the rating on certain components. people that dont know any better would run out to upgrade, spending more money. This is all about the industry I am sure of it.

Well to put things in perspective in WEI my 6870 gets a 7.8.

The price difference for that 0.1 actually makes the system seem fairer.

Try to get 1T or up to NB-freq and you'll see your WEI ram score go up (eh I was bored while staring at stability tests).
