Heres a raid card im looking to get, i dont see why everyone pays like $300 for a RAID card? Whats the difference?

Is this any good so i can get a simple raid 0 setup?

For RAID 0 you don't have much to gain by getting a dedicated card, and could easily use your onboard solution.

Edit:
I just noticed "(No support for RAID and "Hot Plug" functions)" for your board.
Whatever's cheap should be fine.

Nothing high end needed unless you are running a demanding RAID5/6 setup.

That RAID card is likely to net you no real benefit over using single drives anyway - I wouldn't bother.

You will be better off (and it will be cheaper) for you to buy a new board with an ICH10R with RAID0 support rather than buying a crappy RAID card like the one you listed.
