And yeah, wanting eyefinity

Cheers for input!

GTX570 is £260 where HD6950 is £230

Wouldnt the HD6950,s be better for a eyefinity setup? with 3 x 22" monitors

Cheers
Ah, didn't see you wanted a 3 monitor set-up, I would suggest something like this.

i5 2500k £187
Mobo of your choice £££
I noticed your reusing your ram, so that's a nice way to save some cash.
and a 2 HD 6950.

an i7 sandy bridge isnt cheaper or faster.... LOL

Also Fallen:
HD6950 x 3 is better as they can also be unlocked to HD 6970 and there is nothing wrong with ati drivers... Never had any problems with any ATI drivers so i dno where the hate is coming from...?

This probably.

I would go crossfire with a higher res/larger monitor.

3 x 22" = 5760 x 1080 in eyefinity

Those large res monitors cost loads lol, would be better off going eyefinity

You can but you wont max every game *coughCrysis*. 2 6950s would do fine though a third would be ideal. You could probably run maxed on most games with 2 and high details on rest (Crysis, Metro etc). Really your choice.

I changed that, and yea you can, but powering 3 monitors with 1 card, is not a great idea if you want to play your games at a nice resolution.

Plus will you be selling your old parts?
