[ Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80623I52500K ]

along with:

[ GIGABYTE GA-P67A-UD4 LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard ] ?

I currently have:
AMD 9550 Quadcore Phenom xll 2.2ghz
MSI K982 Platinum
DDR3 memory, so it should be compatible with the new motherboard.

I want to keep the budget around 420$ or less. Ive been told this is the better out of my other options. I just wanted to come here and clear up on that before I buy it and maybe have a problem.

ye looks good, would work as long as the memory is like 1.6v or lower.(it would still work if its not but not recommended)

Looks good so far. I personally am an AMD fan but so far from what I have herd about the sandy cpu's is pure awesome. Sweet board BTW. My friend was going to get that board but he ended up opting for the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-682-_-Product from asus. You can set up either crossfire or sli. He also told me that it has more features. Give it a look it is the same price. let me know how that works out for you.
