Yeah, unlocked 555 is 125W. Which can easily turn to 140W because most people need additional voltage to unlock. And this can easily turn to even 200W when you overclock.

Here are the examples I have collected of mosfets catching fire or sparking or whatever on MSI 870 boards or similar boards. One of them with a quad core 955 @ 4Ghz (similar to yours) has a picture attached:
1075T/870A-G554 - sparks coming from mosfets - 18/1/2011
2x quad core/MSI 770-G45 @ 1.45V - 9/1/2011
1090T/MSI 770-G45 catching fire - 9/1/2011
x4 955 4Ghz + H50/870A-G54, 10 minutes [4+1] - 5/10/2010 - PIC

The other MSI examples I have are mostly on the 890GXM-G65/others, which have blown up despite additional mosfet cooling.

CPU-NB voltage can be taken considerably far. For the single power phase for the NB, I wouldn't recommend taking the CPU-NB above 1.5V, but chances are you'll never need above 1.4V for your CPU_NB overclock - especially considering you only need 1.2V for 2800Mhz that's pretty good.

Do you think 3000mhz is possible i just tried and no success but i only went to 1.29v...do you think it would make a difference from 2800 to 3000 considering i may have to go 1.35+ to get the 3000mhz stable

Bleh...3000mhz nb looks like it does not want to work sent the nb voltage all the way to 1.42v and still not booting, 2800mhz is good still so i'll settle for that.

I've seen it before, but most people cap out around 2800. I was able to do 3000 on my 965 but I couldn't get it fully stable, 2900 was possible but required a lot of voltage and didn't seem to be worth it over 2800 which seems to be the Deneb sweat spot.

Ok tested all night and i got it stable after 8hrs on occt 4ghz and nb at 2800mhz 1.3v.
4.2ghz was looking promising but after an hour in...crash...but no big deal i have seen visible performance differences since i oc'ed the nb, programs open ever so quicker and so does windows....oh yea and backtrack linux flies now Reps+
