G.Skill vs Patriot Ram?

Thread Starter
Yo, I'm building a 2600K setup and I'm just wondering if there's a real difference between these 2 brands/Ram.

G.Skill Ripjaw X
Patriot Gamer 2

Only difference I see is just the voltage. So is one better than the other because of that? Just wondering cuz NewEgg has a combo deal with the Patriot one that can let me save 25 bucks.

Thanks.

I he nothing but good things to say about g.skill. I have used them for my last four builds and never had a problem. In fact I just swapped and sold my corsairs xms 4x2gb set for the same ripsjaws and have had no issuess. G.skill are also solid overclockers never had any problem pushing the ram pass stock settings.

I've also been using g.skill in both my gamers. One is stock no overclock, my other is overclocked. See sig below. G.skill bins their ram really high, I've gotten a set of PI black series from 800mhz to 1000mhz on stock volts. For ram 200mhz increase is good. Other then G.skill, corsair is a safe bet.
